Every week in my magazine First Bass And Beyond there are TWO video tutorials amongst the content. This week the tutorials are Texas Flood by Stevie Ray Vaughan and this one – Venus – by Shocking Blue.
Here’s a sample from the Venus tutorial. This is the chorus section played slowly with a chordal metronome set at around 80BPM:
This is only a small sample of the tutorial which features the intro, the verse, Chorus 1, Chorus 2 and the first solo section. Each of those sections are played at performance tempo with a soundalong backing track (which is available to download) and then with a chordal metronome as you just saw.
