Here’s another clip I found on YouTube for the Prelude to Bach Cello Suite 1. This clip is in G Major and is played on a six string.
Couple of things to note – the tempo is fast….personally I think it’s too fast to let the music ‘breathe’, but I’m sure Martin had a reason for the tempo.? And second, note how Martin uses a ‘classical guitar’ style of playing and letting the notes ring into each other to make the interpretation of the piece more flowing and more legato.
