Just played this recently. So many subtle things going on.
As a former cellist I really connected with this one.

      Hey Joe

Have a listen to Jamerson’s take on SOMETHING as recorded with Martha Reeves. Also very interesting.

Oohhhh – you should hang onto that vinyl! I’m toying with the idea of when I move office of spending some bucks on a proper vinul set up as a lot of the ‘classics’ sound wayyyyy better on vinyl than they do on CD or worse, MP3!

Thanks Paul, you’re my hero! Teaching me how to play my favorite band’s songs. Of course I’m talking about the Beatles! BTW what kind of bass are you playing?

      Hi Randal

That’s not me – it’s Paul McCartney. I imagine it’s his Rickenbacker….I have a friend who is more of a Beatles nut than me and he’ll probably know.

What program are you using to isolate the bass part?
    Great bass playing, Paul Mc!

    Thanks Paul W. !

      Thomas

The ‘stems’ to a lot of these tracks have been ‘ripped’ from the Guitar Hero series of games and you can find them on the Internet. I load them to a program called Audacity, delete everything but the bass, then export that to an AIFF file. That AIFF file is then played for the ‘videos’ in an excellent program called Anytune. If you do any kind of transcribing, this is the best program for the job!
