On this page is the video, pdf and practice track for the Paul McCartney Style Sight Reading Etude 7.
This is a slightly different Etude….it’s just three choruses of the 12 bar quick blues in an uptempo walking pop style. The kicker though is that each chorus is in a different key…and each new chorus is set up by a II7-V7 turnaround in bar 12 of the preceding chorus.
- The first chorus is in F.
- The second chorus is in F#.
- And the third chorus is in G.
One other thing…when I came to film this I decided to constrain myself to 1st Position (so first finger on the 1st fret…and not go beyond the 4th fret).
