I’ve been filming some Doors tutorial videos recently – and I mentioned that in the early Doors tunes the bass lines were played by keyboard player Ray Manzarek.
I originally though he was playing these lines with some combination of foot pedals. First Bass And Beyond subscriber Greg Bigler emailed me with a correction.? Manzarek used a keyboard called a Fender Rhodes Piano Bass – a small, 32 note keyboard.
