Here’s a video showing how to play bass to Honky Tonk Woman by The Rolling Stones.:

Honky Tonk Woman has got just two sections to the tune – when looked at from a chordal perspective. There’s a verse and there’s a chorus. In playing terms though, to be authentic to the original, you need to play two versions of the chorus.
The first two choruses are pretty sparse rhythm wise – but the last chorus/outro (and repeat) get a little busier.
In the video I teach both versions of the chorus – and the patterns used under the guitar solo (which follows the verse chord structure).
