Video Lesson – Mama’s Pearl

May 4, 2015 by Paul Wolfe

Here’s a video showing the bass guitar beginner how to play bass to Mama’s Pearl by The Jackson 5.

Here’s the lesson for Mama’s Pearl:

This sounds like the original bass line was played by Welton Felder – but I’d have to check to be sure.

The song is taught in this order: verse, chorus, breakdown, bridge and intro. Once you’ve learned the parts, you need to put them into this order to play through the tune:

Intro

Verse

Chorus

Breakdown

Verse (2)

Chorus (2)

Bridge

Chorus

Bridge (2nd 4 bars only)

Chorus (4 bars only)

Bridge (2nd 4 bars only)

Chorus – Repeat and Fade
